Get out of jail to raise funds for Manorlands hospice!
Sue Ryder are delighted to announce the return of their exciting team fundraising adventure, ‘Jailbreak’ , the only such event where participants escape from an authentic prison cell. Once escaped, teams have just 36 hours to fly, ride, walk or sail as far away as possible. The catch? You can’t spend any money on travel. On the morning of 26 June you and your team will be briefed, given your trackers, and Sue Ryder Jailbreak T-shirts. You will then be ‘sent down’ by the Sue Ryder bobby who will lock you into a cell at Keighley Civic Centre’s Police museum. Your challenge is to break out of jail and get as far away from Keighley as you can in 36 hours. In 2013, the last Sue Ryder Jailbreak winners got as far as Slovenia and the top fundraisers brought in over £1500 for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice. How far can you get?

Participating teams must be made up of between 2-4 people over the age of 16. Please note you cannot enter this event as an individual. Each member will be required to pay a £25 sign-up fee per person which will cover the cost of a Jailbreak T-shirt and the digital safety tracking system that our partner 'Student Jailbreak' will issue you - we’ll also issue you with a Sue Ryder Jailbreak destination board and an advice pack. For those who travel furthest and pick up the most points there will be prizes on your return.
Fundraising – although based on fun and a great experience, the idea is that everyone raises as much as possible for the incredible care that Sue Ryder provides. As you enjoy your challenge you’ll be helping people facing serious challenges of their own. So we’re asking each team to raise a minimum of £250.
