A single lap multi-terrain course covering approx. 5.8 miles held in/around the country tracks/footpaths of Judy Woods
Judy Jaunt 5 takes part in the breath-taking Pennine scenery of Judy Woods, Bradford. A multi-terrain run over about 5.8 miles on country tracks, footpaths and some streets, through ancient woodlands and farmland, offering spectacular long-distance Pennine views (weather permitting, of course, though it never normally rains in Bradford). You may find the odd hill and (weather dependent), there may or may not be a bit of mud. An event for the whole family: for club runners, fun runners, and everyone else. Prime lookouts around the course offer great vantage points (if you take the time to look), and post-race food and drink are provided at our Race HQ, Horsfall Community Stadium, Cemetery Road (off Halifax Road), Bradford, BD6 2NG. The start/finish is around half a mile from the HQ. The race itself takes place in/around Judy Woods, with the start being to the side of Royds Hall Dam/Park Dam, Low Moor, Bradford, which is off Lingdale Road, Low Moor, Bradford, BD6 2NT. The dam is accessed via a short path opposite 66-72 Lingdale Road. The maximum number of 500 participants. Race license to be confirmed. Minimum age 16 years. Proceeds go to support the resurfacing and ongoing maintenance of the historic athletics track at Horsfall Stadium which is now the financial responsibility of Bradford Airedale AC.

Viewing points for spectators, Food and drink for spectators at race HQ, free car and bike parking at the race HQ. Prizes (for some) and finishing medals for all.
Post race, enjoy the breath-taking scenery (incl. viewing locations for spectators), and food and drink at the stadium for friends and family. Race HQ is a 30-minute walk from Low Moor railway station. Cemetery Road bus stop serves the half-hourly 681 and 682 bus route to and from Bradford Interchange via Odsal Top, Shelf and Halifax. The event will be chip timed. Numbers and chips should be collected from the Race HQ from 8:00am on the day of the race. Unfortunately, the course is not suitable for wheelchairs. The wearing of in ear/over the ear headphones in the race is not permitted.
