AIRE Half-Marathon

Introducing the first AIRE Marathon and Half Marathon, along the River Aire. Come join us at the amazing Piglove By The River. A lovely beer garden in the heart of Citu’s Climate Innovation District, where you can grab a picnic bench and admire the views with your complimentary pint of Piglove Brewing Co’s creative craft brews after you’ve run the race of course. It’s the perfect spot for sunday afternoon. THE COURSE Please note this is NOT a closed road race. The race starts at Piglove by The River and follows the Trans Pennine Trail for 21km and turns around just before Fairburn Ings. The Half marathon follows the same route turning round at 10.5km. This is a very fast and flat trail course with very good quality footpath conditions, as it follows the river it is incredibly flat, however, there are a couple of small bridges with steps that must be crossed. The course will be carefully signposted with pink arrows so you'll always know where to go. Any road crossings and turnaround points will be clearly marked and marshalled. FACILITIES Race HQ Toilets Bag Storage WHAT’S INCLUDED All finishers will receive a drink courtesy of Piglove Brewery. All medals and tees are sold as optional extras upon entry. This is to reduce our impact on the environment, and to make our races more affordable for everyone. MANDATORY KIT Depending on whether we might make some gear mandatory, however, this is unlikely. Cups WILL be provided at water stations which will be set up at 10km, 21km and 31km. PARKING CitiPark Leeds Dock, Armouries Drive LS10 1LE. Piglove is a stone’s throw from Granary Wharf, Royal Armouries and Leeds Station. We always like to encourage all local runners to come via foot, bicycle or public transport. Please plan your journey to allow time to get to race HQ.
