Royston Runners host its annual 10 mile year end road race

Entries for the 2023 race are now closed. Entries for the 2024 edition (exact date TBC) will open on 1st September 2024. Race start is 10:30 on Saturday 30th December 2023. A 10 mile (16 km) road run taking in the best of Buntingford and the surrounding area. Same route as 2022 (link below). The course is officially measured as 10 miles. There is a cut-off of 2.5 hours (1pm). If you are running on the course after this time, you are welcome to continue. However, the marshalls and finish-line team may start to withdraw at this point. Bespoke medals issued to all finishers within the cut-off. Trophies for first finishers and age categories. Also incorporating the British Masters Athletics Championships and the Hertfordshire Veterans Road Running County Championship. Winners and runner ups will be presented with their medals straight after the Buntingford 10 medal presentation. There are Herts champs medals for both individuals and teams (running clubs with 3 or more Females and/or 4 or more Males). Parking is limited so please car share where possible. We will advise on parking nearer the time of the event. The cost to park at "Bowling green lane car park" is listed as £2.20 for all day. There will be a water station at the out-and-back point near Westmill at 3.5 and 8 miles. There will also be water at the finish. We aim to be cupless at this event so please bring your own cup/bottle. Bottles and bags can be left in the school hall for collection when you finish. Hot food, tea/coffee and cake will be available to purchase at the finish for runners and spectators. Candy and fruit will be available at the finish for runners.

Transfer policy: Between 01 Sep 2023 and 30 Nov 2023, edit details/transfer to another person is possible by clicking "view entry details" in the confirmation email. Transfer to next year's race is possible for a £10.00 fee by contacting us. Transfers after 30 Nov 2023 are not possible due to race numbers being posted out at that time. Headphones are banned under British Athletics rules, and will result in disqualification. No Dogs or Buggies. Medical provision. Chip timing at start and finish.
