KAPOW!!! Defeating Dementia one step at a time. Join us for the annual Sheffield “Defeat Dementia” Superhero Sprint on Saturday 20th June 2020! This brand new Superhero/Supervillain sprint event consists of a 5km fun run and a 10km race and costume contest on the beautiful Sheffield/Tinsley canal towpath. Wear your favourite superhero or supervillain gear and use your superpowers to walk, run or sprint to the finish line. It’s going to be a whole comic strip of fun with a whole lot of running thrown in too! Burn off some energy, use your superpowers and have a WHOLE load of superhero or supervillain fun!. It's a family friendly 5k &10k run/walk with a medal and a FREE personalised t-shirt for all finishers! Bring your family and friends and join us as we take to the streets for the annual Sheffield Superhero Sprint. Choose your distance - 5km or 10km - and get going before the supervillains catch you. Run on your own, as a pair or in a team. There's a bespoke medal for all runners; celebratory fizz at the finish line, friendly marshals & cakes available too. Get your capes on! Full route details will be available shortly but the event will start & finish on the canal towpath behind The Source (within a short walking distance of Meadowhall). Afterwards you can head off to the Meadowhall to grab yourself a bargain, or have lunch. It’s time to dust off your running shoes, earn a medal, and sign up for this amazingly comical event on 20th June 2020! Fast, flat & beautiful course with huge PB potential.
