Sunshine Run 5k

Join us on Wednesday 19th June for a run along the iconic Newcastle Quayside with a photo finish in front of the Tyne bridges as we celebrate the return of The Sunshine Run 5K, supporting disabled babies, children and young adults across the North East. Whether you are a club runner looking to smash a PB or a fun runner looking to take part with friends and colleagues, The Sunshine Run 5K is for you! Registration fee includes t-shirt, medal and chip timing. Runners are encouraged to fundraise to take part to support local children in need of specialist, life-changing equipment. Online entry closes on June 5th RACE TIMES - TBC Start & Finish line – Pitcher and Piano, Newcastle Quayside, NE1 3DX. Sunshine 5K Elite Wave (100 entrants) Sunshine 5K (400 entrants) Please ensure you arrive at the start line at least 5 minutes before your wave is due to start. FACILITIES Bag drop available from 5:45pm Late registration open from 5:45pm Toilets Water offered post race RACE INFORMATION Event information will be sent via email and posted in the race Facebook group @TheSunshineRun5K Minimum age for entries is 11 years No refunds can be issued after the event entry closing date of Wednesday the 5th of June. Online entry will close on June 5th, if you wish to take part after this date, please contact sophie.revell@thesunshinefund.org to confirm on the night registration information. Should the event be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, all runners will receive a refund of their paid entry price. The run will go ahead in all weather conditions unless deemed dangerous or unsafe by the Met Office. Please note, photographs taken at the event will be used and owned by The Chronicle Sunshine Fund across online and media channels.
