HOW THE VIRTUAL CHAMPIONSHIP WORKS:

There’s no fuss, no medals, no tees, YOU’RE RACING FOR PRIDE. (Well, there is a few prizes too for category winners and also random spot prizes from our sponsors Inov8, Pete Bland Sports & Mountain Fuel Sports Nutrition) Your individual and team results will go down in history, documenting a year of racing that we will never forget. Races can be entered individually or if you want to compete for a particular championship title in your category you would need to race each race in that series. Each race is £5 to enter and there is a charitable donation option if desired but not required. All profits from the event will be donated to Mountain Rescue. Races can be entered individually or if you want to compete for the overall championship title in your category you would need to race each race in that series. Like a fell champs there is a Short, Medium and a Long. Race 1 (4m 900ft ascent) race anytime between 27/6/20 & 5/7/20 Race 2 (8m 1800ft ascent) race anytime between 11/7/20 & 26/7/20 Race 3 (12m 3000ft ascent) race anytime between 1/8/20 & 16/8/20 Team results will be based on the top 4 counters from each club across senior and age categories. You can have different team members per race as long as you have four counters in each one. The competition is straight forward; - Please plan your routes with a traditional fell race in mind. 1. Enter the race 2. Plan your route with at least 1 summit/hilltop and no more than 1 mile of vehicle use fire road. 3. Race and save your run (using your watch or mobile device) 4. Submit your ELAPSED time, with a GPX file or link (for example strava) to info@timingupnorthltd.co.uk . 5. View results and download finishers certificate You will also get a chance to win spot prizes from from inov-8 and Mountain Fuel, by taking part in our virtual kit checks on our Virtual Fell Running Championship Facebook and Instagram pages.
