The Hexham Half Marathon is back for 2020 with new organisers, a new start & finish area at Tyne Green Park, FREE parking for all runners & spectators, a new course which goes around the Historic Market Town and Abbey on CLOSED ROADS, superb MORE MILE t-shirts, a Medal as well as food & a beer for all finishers!! The race will be organised by the Race Director of the Blaydon Race who hopes to bring some of the atmosphere across from the 5000 runners who “Gan alang the Scotswood Road” on the 9th June each year!! The Race will start at 6pm as the conditions should be cooler then and this is a quieter time of day for closing the Hexham Roads while the race is on. We hope you will join us to help make this event one of the premier ½ marathon events on the road in the North East. In addition to the Half Marathon we are now providing a 10k option. This is run on a PB potential course and starts at the same time as the Half Marathon, with every runner getting a T-shirt, medal, food & drink.
