Juniors’ Fun Run to support the upkeep of Temple Newsam running track

Alongside the Restoration Fund Run 10k raising funds towards the ongoing maintenance of the running track at Temple Newsam, we have now added a Juniors’ Fun Run. Following the success of last year’s race and efforts, sufficient funds have been raised to resurface the track and return it to its original glory, for the benefit of all. To keep it looking its best, this race will see 100% of its proceeds invested in maintaining the track’s running surface and area. Temple Newsam’s track is available for anyone, be it for running or walking, learning how to ride a bicycle, getting fitter or putting in some serious training, for old and young. This year’s race will expand to include something for our youngest community members, a Juniors’ Run. Juniors, age 14 and younger, will be able to take part in a fun run involving two laps of the track. The Juniors’ start shortly follows the start of the Restoration Fund Run involving children in the day’s excitement and keeping them active, perhaps while one of their adults are running the 10k. A medal will be awarded to all finishers. All monies raised will be used to help restore and resurface the running track for the benefit of the community and for years to come. You acknowledge the risks involved with the named young person participating in the Track Restoration Juniors’ Run at Temple Newsam. 3. You understand that you are responsible for the named young person up to when the race starts and from when they finish the race and that you must remain at the track throughout the event. 4. You confirm that your child(ren) may be photographed and/or videoed. These images may be used to help publicise this event and future Temple Newsam Track events and fundraising. 5. Children may be accompanied by an adult although this is not a requirement as the track will be marshalled and children can be observed by their parent/carer while participating.
