Sprint Tri Ponteland CANCELLED

Now in its third year after two successful events, the SPRINT TRI Ponteland will take place on Sunday 28th June 2020

Organised by Ponteland Tri Club, winners of the North East Region Triathlon Club of the Year 2017, and National Go Tri Organisers of the year 2018. Parking - There is free parking nearby. There will be hot and cold food and drink options for participants and spectators both before and after the event in the ‘Fanzone’. Clubs are welcome to bring along team tents for the finishing straight Swim: The 400 metre swim will be in wave format. There will be 4 lanes in the pool with 4 competitors per lane. The start and finish will be in the deep end Bike: The 20km bike ride will take place on undulating roads around and about the beautiful and quiet country lanes around Ponteland. The initial section of the bike route will be neutralised (timer stopped and restarted) for competitor safety to get you out of the leisure centre (right turn) and through the main traffic lights in the village. (Helmets are compulsory Run: The 5.7km run will start and finish at the Ponteland Leisure Centre and we aim to make this an excellent finish to your race as you are cheered across the line. The route will be signposted and have marshals. Prices - Individual entry for this event will be £39 BTF members/£44 non-BTF members. Team entry will be £49 (BTF members/£54 non-BTF members). The online booking fee is displayed below. Event entry includes a free T-shirt and a goody bag. These will be collected at registration on the day of the event. All entrants get a voucher for a free burger from the BBQ after finishing the race. There will be awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in all age categories and overall winners.
