Canal Race For Dan

My handsome and bold pal Dan Wild-Beesley, has not been too well of late, bravely fighting Stage 4 brain tumours. He’s had a consultation with a specialist Oncologist who has highly recommended a particular treatment to him that isn’t currently done under the NHS. It’s a 3 month, intensive, targeted chemotherapy & well-being course they run abroad and it has shown an 80% success rate in helping patients’ cancer into remission. It’s a treatment that Dan would love to be able to do but in order to do it, it’s going to cost £50,000. To help we are hosting this special charity event. Great Owl will be hosting a pay on the night Canal Race, entry will be only £5 (any more graciously accepted). Registration at Northern Monk Brewery (car parking available) The race will start from Granary Wharf along the Leeds Liverpool Canal to Kirkstall and back. We will finish off with drinks and social at the Northern Monk Brewery who have kindly agreed to help host the event. The Race follows the Leeds Liverpool Canal and the turnaround points will be clearly marked. As ever we are also on the lookout for some volunteers.
