Moving to fight Cancer in Children - Endorsed by the charity

This virtual race is an opportunity to support Children With Cancer no matter where you are in the world on the 12th of February. As Children With Cancer was founded on the 12th of February 1988 we ask that you either: Walk 1.22 miles or Run 1.988 miles To symbolise the charity's establishment date. As a thank you, we will send a piece of Memorabilia on behalf of the charity. All money raised from this event will go directly to Children With Cancer. Share your runs on the Children With Cancer Social Media pages and ask your friends and family to get involved! So lets get involved and Ring the Treatment Bell! What is the end of treatment bell? End of treatment bells are put into hospitals by the wonderful people at ‘End of Treatment Bells.’ For a child with cancer, ringing the bell is a huge milestone. It means they’ve finished their treatment and are ready to get on with life. It’s a moment for the whole family to celebrate – an opportunity to reflect on what’s been an emotional and physical journey, and to think about the future. The end of treatment bell inspires children with cancer to persevere and it brings hope for the future when things are tough. Funding research At Children with Cancer UK we liberate visionary researchers and accelerate breakthroughs, so more children can ring the end of treatment bell. We currently fund more than 50 vital specialist research projects and collaborative groups that would otherwise go unfunded.
