Want to be part of the first ever and hopefully the last ever Virtual Blaydon Race?

The iconic Geordie Event should have been celebrating its 40th year on the roads from Newcastle to Blaydon. As an alternative and to provide some much-needed motivation during these testing times why not Register NOW and Run 6 mile on Tuesday 9th June at any time of day or night alone or with one other runner. Please abide by the current social distancing guidelines of staying 2m apart. You can run anywhere you like but ideally make it as flat as possible to give yourself a chance of a great time and position. However please follow these two rules. - Results are based on elapsed time (no running then pausing watch to get your breath back, then starting again 😊) - Please try to keep your descent around your ascent (no 6 miles flat out descents 😊) You could also send any pictures you take before during or after your effort and post them to our Facebook page. Once you have completed your run simply email info@timingupnorthltd.co.uk with your elapsed time and a link to your Strava or similar within 24 hours. We will then compile a list of results and post them by Saturday 13th June (this may change slightly depending on entrant volumes). As an added bit of fun there will be prizes will be for the following: 1st M & F overall. 1st M & F in category. The Virtual Blaydon Race is just £4 to cover the entry portal cost and the admin involved and as well as that £1 from every entry will go to Metro Radio's Cash For Kids. If you would like an exclusive Collector’s item VIRTUAL BLAYDON RACE 2020 t-shirt the cost is £12 in total. Please be aware the Blaydon race is not responsible for your health & safety on this run, please take all normal precautions and safety measures for public running.
