Scenic 10K road race featuring the infamous W!

We’re back! On the 17th March 2019 starting at 11.30am we have a brand new route for our annual 10K Lightwater Valley Challenge. We could have got a hosepipe and made a puddle (looking at you Muddyboots 10k!) or we could have made you all run to the finish with the promise of a pork pie (bribery works well Fountains 10K) but we have The W - after working your way to the highest point of the course (301ft) you then have The W to smash -a cheeky mid point peak in between two peaks hence the name! (We do also have goodies and medals at the finish promise!) Starting at the Lightwater Valley car park it is run on quiet country roads into the surrounding countryside which makes it a lush and scenic route with amazing view points (if you have time stop and take a selfie!) It is a great event for runners of all abilities. We also have a 3K family fun run and field races for the youngest runners . Medals for all finishers in the 10k, 3k and field runs as well as trophies for 1st finishers (male and female) and first V40+ (male and female) and an overall fastest team trophy for the 10k race. We also have 1st finishers (male and female) for 3k and field races. We also have spot prizes generously donated by local companies
