The SuperSprint 5K is the same as the Open 5K, but for 'faster' runners only!

The Even Splits York 5K races are held monthly from February to November at the University of York Sport Village Cycle Circuit. ENTRY TO THE SUPERSPRINT RACE IS ONLY OPEN TO MALE / OPEN RUNNERS WITH AN EXPECTED FINSH TIME OF 17 MINUTES AND UNDER, AND TO FEMALE RUNNERS WITH AN EXPECTED FINISH TIME OF 19 MINUTES OR UNDER. The race will start at 8.00pm, immediately after the usual 'Open' race concludes. There is also an 'Open' race on the night, starting at 7.30pm. Entry to this race is open to runners of all speeds, and is available here: https://racebest.com/races/tcq46 The circuit is flat and fast offering the opportunity for you to achieve your 5K personal best. The races are chip-timed and EA licensed (hence results appear on Power of 10). Results are sent by text as soon as you cross the finish line, and your kilometre splits are published the next day. Plus you get a chocolate bar at the finish for your troubles! Race yourself and measure your improvement month by month. Or make it a club event and race your rivals. When you enter for the first time you will be assigned a race number with an embedded timing chip which can be used at both York and Leeds 5K. You will collect this number from Registration the first time you race. If you have a previously issued RED 5K race number (e.g. from 2020-25) you can use that again in 2026 (you must record this number on your entry form). All entrants are entitled to one free number replacement in a 12 month period. Subsequent replacements will be charged at £4 thereafter.
