A fabulous run

This annual race, along with 2 children’s races and a 4K for secondary age children and fun runners, is held annually and based in heart of Kirkbymoorside. It is a real focal point for the town and local community and we put on a great day for runners and spectators alike. The runs all finish with a wonderful downhill stretch through the town with spectators lining the street and encouraging finishers all the way to the end. The atmosphere is magic! The event is staged annually to raise money for the PTA groups of local schools Kirkbymoorside CP School, Gillamoor CE School and Welburn Hall School. It is their biggest fundraising event of the year and the money raised is used to enrich and enhance the educational experience of the children in our local area. Earlier in the day, the Beadlam Tractor Run travels through the town raising money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. They are heralded by our award-winning Kirkbymoorside Town Brass Band who also support the races by playing for our runners and spectators through the afternoon. It is a brilliant day!
