Buntingford Year End 10 2022
Royston Runners host its annual 10 mile year end road race
This has always been a popular event so book your ticket as early as possible! Race start is 10:30 on Friday 30th December. A 10 mile (16 km) road run taking in the best of Buntingford and the surrounding area. Link to this year's course is below. There is a cut-off of 2.5 hours (1pm). If you are running on the course after this time, you are welcome to continue. However, the marshalls and finish-line team may start to withdraw at this point. Bespoke medals issues to all finishers within the cut-off. In addition there will be trophies awarded at the finish area: Male 1st, 2nd, 3rd Male 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+ Female 1st, 2nd, 3rd Female 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+ Gina Roby from Joint Action Physiotherapy will be providing FREE massages to runners after the race, in the school hall. Parking is limited so please car share where possible. The cost to park at "Bowling green lane car park" is listed as £2.20 for all day. There is a water station at approximately the half way point (biodegradable cups will be provided). There will also be water at the finish, but no cups will be provided so that we can cut down on our environmental impact. Please bring a cup or bottle with you for topping up with water at the finish. Hot food, tea/coffee and cake will be available to purchase at the finish for runners and spectators. Candy will be available at the finish for runners.
This event will also be the Hertfordshire Senior County Championship. If you have not already opted in to the county championship, please email buntingford10@roystonrunners.co.uk. Wheelchairs: Due to sections of the course we would not recommend this course as wheelchair friendly. However we are happy to accept wheelchair entrants, they do so at their own risk. Headphones are banned under British Athletics rules, and will result in disqualification. No Dogs or Buggies. Medical provision. Chip timing at start and finish.
