A friendly 5k road race taking place on quite roads near Eaglesfield Paddle School Our popular early summer road race attracts all manner of runners, so no matter what your ability, you'll be in good company. Come and join us! Registration is open from 5:30pm in the School Hall, the race starts at 7:00pm. Please note that the race start at Brandlingill is a 10 minute walk from the school, please ensure that you arrive at the start in plenty of time, and follow directions/instruction from the race marshals to get to the start ( 15min walk (10min jog to the start). Parking - In previous years we have been able to make use of the school car park but space is limited so please car share if possible to keep traffic to a minimum. Please listen to the instructions of the parking attendants. Registration - Previously we have been able to take on the day entries. If we are getting close to maximum numbers we will publish this on the event page on Facebook. ORDER OF THE DAY • 5:30pm – registration opens (school hall) • 6:30pm – registration closes • 6:50pm – safety brief to all runners (race start) • 7:00pm – RACE STARTS • 8:00pm – prize giving • 8:30pm – close Headphones are not permitted as per EA rules. First Aid will be available on the night, please alert a marshall should you require assistance. Prize Giving will take place at 8pm in the school hall. Prizes will be available for the first, second and third male and female runners, with category prizes for first placed male/female junior, V40, V50, V60 and V70.
