Children's Fun Run

UPDATE : This event has sold out! We could only offer 70 places because of the medal pre-order but the course can accommodate more children. Don’t panic though - we’ve got you covered. No FOMO here (Fear Of Missing Out). We’re going to have a coffee van and there will be cakes and fruit on sale so cheering on will be fun. If that’s not enough for you then we can offer 2 options for children that turn up on the day and want to run: 1. Run the course and receive your personalised certificate with your distance on it - £3. 2. Run the course, receive your personalised certificate with your distance on it and then get your MEDAL IN THE POST - £10. We decided to offer these options so that no one has to miss out. Stomp 👣 Come and join us for a fun run at the beautiful Homestead Park in York. Get outside, have fun and earn yourself a proper medal with bragging rights. The race is open to entrants aged 2 to 14 years. All we ask is that the entrant can toddle, run, walk or jog their way around the course. One lap of the course is approximately 0.5km (i.e. 500m) - to be confirmed. The course is not chip timed. Children can do as many laps as they choose. Oh, and watch out for the unicorn... Every finisher will receive their medal and a goody bag. We are hoping to organise refreshments so please being some change for that coffee and cake! Participation in the event is fully at your own risk and we can't accept any responsibility, all children must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian who is responsible for them at all times.

The toilets are a short walk from the race. Therefore it's best to make sure little runners have been before they get started. There is very limited car parking at the park therefore to avoid last minute parking space panic we'd recommend car sharing, walking, cycling or try the Park and Ride number 2 bus which goes straight past the park.

Unfortunately the track is not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies. However, there is an option to complete the race and earn the medal and the good bag virtually. Please select "The Virtual Stomp" entry for the number of children that will be taking part. Contact us if you require help with this. We're happy to help. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead, as per park regulations. Please be aware that dogs are not allowed into the children's adventure playpark area.
