Shadwell Halloween 1km Fun Run
Brought to you by Shadwell Runners. Spooky, sporty fun for all the family!
For the first time ever, Shadwell Runners have teamed up with Friends of Shadwell School (FOSS) to provide this exciting sporting challenge for all the family. All profits from this will go directly to FOSS to support our local primary school. Don’t miss the 5km race which is also taking place the same day at 13:00. 1KM FUN RUN Starts at 14:30 Entry fee of £3 per child Route starts with a lap around the recreation ground, before heading up Bridle Path Road for approx. 0.4km, then heads back to where you started There are no age restrictions. Runners may be accompanied by an adult (for whom ticket is not required). REFRESHMENTS There will be refreshments available for participants and spectators before and after this event. PRIZES All participants will receive a small prize for taking part. SAFETY The emphasis is on fun and safety. The events will be fully marshalled and there will be first aiders present. Please follow the instructions of the marshalls, and stay aware of your surroundings. TOILETS There will be limited toilet facilties available in the Recreation Centre. PARKING There is some parking near the Recreation Centre, a number of spaces will also be available in the scout hut car park next to the Red Lion on Main Street.
