At its heart lies York, a city steeped in history. Founded by the Romans in AD 71, York boasts iconic landmarks like the 13th-century York Minster, medieval city walls, and the immersive Jorvik Viking Centre. To mark Yorkshire Day on 1st August 2025, we’re inviting runners, walkers, joggers, and even cyclists! all across the UK (and beyond!) to take part in a special long weekend virtual challenge. Join us in celebrating the spirit of Yorkshire — wherever you are! 🏃 WHAT’S INVOLVED? Take on a run, walk, jog or ride, any distance, at your own speed, on 1st August 2025 — anywhere you like! Treadmill activities are welcome too. 🏅 WHAT’S INCLUDED? You'll receive a striking white aluminium finishers’ medal, complete with a plain coloured ribbon — the perfect memento to mark your Yorkshire Day achievement.
