We're excited to be bringing running back to Barnsley town centre with a 10k launching for summer 2024 delivered by Barnsley, for Barnsley, on fully closed roads. The event promises to be truly a momentous occasion, and in years to come you'll be sharing with everyone that you did the first of this edition of the Barnsley 10k. With 1,000 places up for grabs, we're expecting it to sell out FAST! All finishers of the Barnsley 10k will receive a commemorative t-shirt and a medal to celebrate your achievement. We'll have a full complement of prizes sponsored by our Traffic Management Provider, Rapid Response Traffic Management (Telecoms). First three male finishers and first three female finishers First male and female in following categories: V35, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65, V70+ First club male team and first club female team (first three to cross the line) Places may be transferred for free to another runner-up until Sunday 9 June 2024 by following the link contained in the success email. Anyone running in someone else's place without notifying the organisers prior to the deadline will be disqualified from the race. There will be no facility to defer your race entry until the following year and there will be no opportunity to cancel your entry to receive a refund. We will not be offering a facility to operate a waiting list for individuals who have not yet entered the Barnsley 10k. Athletes under the age of 18 are required to have permission from someone over the age of 18 to participate. The minimum age to participate is 15 years old on the event day. If you are aged 15-17, please confirm your permission from someone over the age of 18 by emailing Barnsley10k@barnsley.gov.uk otherwise you will risk your entry being null and void.
