IWD Women's Virtual Walk/Run

Celebrating women, raising awareness and raising funds

Calling all women that run and those that don't yet but would like to give it a try - on International Women's Day 2020, why not take part in a virtual walk or run. You can choose your distance and route and whether you run alone or with a group. There will be an organised women's 5k race in Leeds on 8th March 2020 organised by women for women. If you can't join us for that event then join us in spirit. Maybe you don't like races, maybe you don't feel comfortable in groups, but you'd like to be part of the event and share your experience. Whatever your reason, we'd love to hear from you. Once you've finished, just email us a photo of your Garmin/TomTom/Fitbit etc, All entrants will receive a medal. This is a non-profit event, where proceeds will go towards two charities close to any woman runner's heart. We all know the frustration of long toilet queues at running events, but imagine if queues were the least of your problems. The two chosen charities (The Gift Wellness Foundation and Forgotten Women) address the need for safe and secure toilets for women all around the world and to tackling Period Poverty in this country and abroad. Let's help to make access to toilets safe, secure and sanitary for all women and girls.
