A glorious evening run amongst dramatic follies, calming waters and simply stunning views
The first annual Cobham Festival of Running is at the beautiful Painshill Park - created in the 18th century by Charles Hamilton as a living painting, this glorious evening run will allow you to run amongst a backdrop of dramatic follies, calming waters and simply stunning views. With races starting at 5.45pm and a choice of 10km, 5km and 3km distances, there is an event for everyone, including children. All races in the running festival are chip timed, with a bespoke finishers medal for all. The overall top 3 male and female finishers for each distance will be awarded trophies, as well as the following age group categories: 10km - 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ 5km - 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ 3km - 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-19, Adult Age categories are based upon age at day of race. Finish times will be based upon gun time, unless waves are necessary due to covid precautions. Our running events appeal to all abilities - from social runners taking the plunge into their first race, to some of the best local athletes. We strive to create an environment where all runners are encouraged to achieve their personal goals, no matter what their ability. Covid rules at the time of the event will be adhered to. Entry fees include admission to Painshill Park from 5pm on the event day. Limited free parking is available on a first come first served basis. Spectators must purchase a ‘Painshill Park Access Ticket’ if they are not registered to participate in an event.
