5000 FRIDAY is an evening of Graded 5000 metre races for all levels of runners as part of a series of events at the Blaydon Leisure Center. - 5000 Friday - 15/05/2020 - 1 MILE Night - 19/06/2020 - 10,000 & 800 Friday - 17/07/2020 How Does it work - When you sign up you will be asked to enter the time you are going for as a 5k PB, you will also enter your fastest 5k PB in the last 12 months. We will then assign you to one of races within the following race groups - SUB 28, SUB 26, SUB 24, SUB 22, SUB 20, SUB 18, SUB 16. There will be a max of 20 runners per group and there may be multi "SUB 18" race for example where numbers require it. The pace maker led races are an ideal opportunity to post Personal Bests for 5k. Chip timed and they can be added to Power of 10 profiles. Great for runners new to track running or for those wanting a change from Park Runs. Races graded from Sub 16 minutes to sub 28 minutes. **Every runner gets a beer at the end of their race and a bottle, bag or socks!!**
