**Entries will close at 6pm on Friday the 21st** This is an officially measured and certified accurate course by the Association of UK Course Measurers. The Wigton Road Runners 10K will be taking place on Sunday 23 October 2022 and will start at 10am on the path near Barton Laws. Race HQ is at Barton Laws, Wigton CA7 9QY. Toilets are available. Parking will be available at Barton Laws and Wigton Bowling Club. Please consider parking in the town centre car parks to avoid congestion, these are only a short walk away. We do not want roadside parking to cause a nuisance to local residents so please park responsibly. Race numbers can be collected from 8.45am onwards. The run will start close to Barton Laws and finish in Pheonix Park (a short walk from the start). The course is a single loop on footpaths and quiet undulating country roads. The road surfaces are generally okay. Caution should be taken at all turns, paying attention to marshals wherever necessary. Drinks will provided at approximately 3 miles and at the end. First aid services will be in attendance. Risk Assessment – A full course risk assessment will be on display at the event HQ on race day together with maps of the route, the race permit and the measurement certificate in accordance with UKA rules (Permit No: 2022-44729). Race Safety Briefing – The race briefing will take place at 9.45am. The proceeds from the race will go to Prostate Cancer UK, every competitor will receive a medal but there will be no prizes.
