Get into the festive spirit by dressing up as Santa & racing around the Knavesmire (whilst trying to catch a Christmas Pudding) all for the British Heart Foundation! (BHF). FREE SANTA SUIT INCLUDED FOR ALL ENTRIES. Chase The Pud York is back this year. with a 10k chip timed race. Fancy dressing up as Santa and trying to catch our speedy pudding. We have also kept the 3k untimed distance for those who’d like to walk, jog or run! This can be found in the related races section on the right hand side of this page, or by following the link https://racebest.com/races/2syzx * Please note the 10k race starts at Cherry Lane, so allow time to walk over from race HQ (about 1km) once you have collected your number. Toilets are available at HQ and bags can be left with us. * Registration open from 9:00am. Race begins at 10:30am * There is no lower age limit but all children are the responsibility of parents/guardians at all times. Under 11 must be within arms reach of an adult The BHF York Fundraising Group have been organising Chase The Pud York for around 20 years, & with this in mind we’d love if each of our entrants could raise extra sponsor through Just Giving sponsorship to support the BHF's work into finding the cures & treatments needed for heart & circulatory diseases. In York alone, there are around 26,000 people living with these conditions, & each month, devastatingly, 40 lives are taken in this area because of them. Before the BHF existed over half of all UK deaths were from heart & circulatory diseases. But BHF scientists, & supporters like you, have helped half that number. Their work has literally turned science fiction into reality. Machines that can restart hearts. The ability to fix arteries in tiny babies. The power to give someone a heart they weren't born with.
