Join us for the new trail running season!
The Hot Cross Run is on Good Friday and kick starts the new season of self-guided trail races that will be held in the countryside near Leeds this summer. It follows a popular format mixing scenic trails, a race without the usual pressure, and socialising with other runners. Why not try it for yourself? Every finisher will receive a £2 voucher to use in the Shoulder of Mutton after the race. The route is on scenic trails around the village of Kirkby Overblow and will be unique to this event – tradition dictates that this route will not be used again. So don’t miss out!

The fun part of the race is that you will use a set of clear instructions to guide yourself around the course. Run on your own or with friends. It’s easy, and you don’t need any navigation skills apart from knowing left from right. There’s an element of self sufficiency but with runners starting at intervals, another runner is never far away. All runs will be timed like a time trial, so if you do feel like racing then you’d better go 100% in case someone else is quicker!
