7.5 miles of road, bridleway & footpath
Brighouse Bumble Bees are pleased to present their first official run, the Willow Valley Flyer is a 7.5 mile, Road, Bridleway and Footpath run of deceptive undulation, taking in rarely seen views of this part of Calderdale and Kirklees. This multi-terrain race takes you through the scenic Willow Valley Golf Course, and is predominantly road with a "splattering" of trail to keep the mud lovers smiling. Entry includes a technical tee, a little bling to hang around your neck and a donation to Overgate Hospice. Run the course during the month of May in your own pace and at a time that suits you, start and finish at Big Shots Cafe which is just a few yards away from our Club grounds, navigate yourself around the course, we will assist you in the area of the Golf Course with a few additional signs to aid your confidence. Park in the free car park at the end of Wellholme Park, from Bradford Road in Brighouse turn into Thornhills Beck Lane, as you approach the ford glance left to see Big Shots Cafe, pass through the ford and the car park is on your right. There are a number of road crossings on the course which you will need to navigate yourself, including Walton Lane which is national speed limit, we recommend bright noticeable clothing and to cross roads with caution as we will not be there to assist.
