New Year, New You: Try a Tri! Virtual Triathlon Series Take yourself and your fitness/training up to the next level in 2020 with our brand new Virtual Triathlon Series. With not one but FIVE different Triathlon challenges to sign up to, you can either challenge yourself to a Super Sprint Virtual Triathlon, or work your way up through all four distances and watch yourself as you improve. You don’t have to complete it all in one go, that’s the joy of a virtual triathlon! You can choose to complete the running section outside OR on a treadmill; the bike section can be done on outside or on an exercise bike, and the swim can be done in an indoor pool or in open water. You can even choose to complete each section on a mixture of both! Sign up to the distance you fancy and start your journey towards earning yourself a totally personalised technical t-shirt carrying our own Triathlon design, your name and your chosen distance. Your challenge is to complete your chosen distance between 1st Jan - 29th Feb 2020. The FIVE Virtual Triathlon Challenges are: 1. Super Sprint: a 400m swim, 10km cycle, 2.5km run (or walk) 2. Sprint Tri: 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run (or walk) 3. Standard Olympic Tria: 1500m swim, 40km cycle, 10km run (or walk) 4. Middle Distance Tri: 1.9km swim, 90km cycle, 21km (half marathon) run or walk 5. Ironman Ultimate Tri: 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle, 26.2 mile run It’s your race at your pace: do the disciplines & your chosen distances in the order you choose, when/where they fit in with your lifestyle & schedule. You can choose to spread your three disciplines over the whole of the month or complete them one after another in true triathlon style. On receipt of your proof of the three disciplines & relevant distances completed, you’ll receive your limited edition virtual triathlon medal along with your totally personalised and limited edition technical t-shirt carrying our own Triathlon design, your name and your chosen distance achievement.

How does a Virtual Triathlon work? A virtual triathlon is a race that can be completed at any location. For the swim: You can swim in a pool, a lake or the sea! For the run (or walk): You can walk, use a treadmill, run or walk outside or participate in another race. For the bike ride: You can cycle on a static bike, a gym bike, a recumbent bike or cycle outside. You can complete your virtual triathlon in your own time, at your own pace, anywhere in the world. Once you’ve completed your triathlon, simply send us evidence (email to admin@runforit.today) of your completion of the distances: • A photo of your fitbit/strava/garmin etc showing your distances and times • A photo of the treadmill or bike display showing your distances and times • SwimTag results (if your local pool offers this!). If sending photographic evidence is a problem: Don’t worry. We know that not everybody has a running watch or a cycling computer, and we certainly don’t expect you to go out and buy one! There are plenty of free apps available for your smart phone that will log times and distances for you: Strava, MapMyRun, MapMyRide, MapMyWalk, MyFitnessPal and GoogleFit to name but a few. Installing and using them is simple and straightforward, and helps you to keep track of your fitness.
