A undulating 10k multi terrain taking in the breathtaking scenery of Kilham and the surrounding Yorkshire Wolds

A challenging, yet stunning, multi terrain 10k centred around the Yorkshire Wolds village of Kilham. Setting off through the village itself, with ample opportunities for spectator viewing. Runners will then head off-road up the tree lined track, site of David Hockney's famous painting, The Tunnel, after which a climb to the top of hill will provide breathtaking views of the Wolds. The route then continues across Sheep Rake Lane before re-joining the tarmac road for the remainder of the run back down into the village, finishing at the Playing Field. Depending on the weather it could be wet and muddy in places. Organised by Kilham Playing Field Association and fully marshalled throughout the course with a drinks station at the 5km point. The race is open to runners aged 15 years or older in line with UKA regulations. All finishers will receive a bespoke race memento. The overall race winners presentation will take place at 11am. Prizes are available for Male/Female 1st 2nd 3rd overall and Male/Female 1st in age categories. Prizes will be awarded on chip time to the fastest three men and women to finish and to age category group winners. The race will be chip timed and results will be published online. In line with UKA Rules of Competition, the wearing of headphones or similar devices is not permitted. There will be a cut off time of 2 hours due to the TTRO ceasing at 12:00pm. If you are running slower than this predicted finish time at the half way point, you may be asked to pull out.
