Rudding ParkRace 2023

A 10K Trail Race Amongst the Parkland of Rudding Park, Harrogate

Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, Rudding ParkRace will return on Tuesday 9 May 2023. Once again, participants will get the chance to run a route on private land, created specifically for the event. Last year’s, race was started by Olympian and ‘friend of Rudding Park’ Jonny Brownlee and we welcomed runners with their friends and family who came to cheer them on. Rudding House made the perfect backdrop for the finish line. The course is a single marked loop with a mixture of paths, woodland trails and includes some technical areas. From the starting line, you will run down to the lakes. Follow the stone wall into the woodland and be prepared to climb it on the opposite side! Stile time, move fast, you will then drop down via ‘Nuno’s let it go’ path to Crimple Beck, following the trail for a few kilometres until you reach the 5km mark (water station). You will then climb, via the secret golf hole, Love Island, Enchanted Woodland Path and the Italy Boot Shape to Repton Green. Follow the nature path to Dower House where you will be able to see the finish line in front of Rudding House but don't be deceived, still ahead ‘Matthew’s finish drag’, described last year as a ‘brutal’ challenge! Runner can then enjoyed music, a complimentary ‘RaceFinisher’ refreshment and hog roast as the sun set - a charge will apply for family and friends. This year’s Rudding ParkRace will be held in support of former Leeds Rhinos player Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease. Rob Burrow and his family – whose tireless campaign to raise awareness and funds to support families living with MND is inspiring. In fact, for those who might be participating in this year’s Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, the Rudding ParkRace is the perfect opportunity for a ‘leg stretcher and socialising’! Prize giving at approximately 8.15pm with overall male/female and age categories winners. All runners will receive a race memento and a goody bag.
