A undulating 10k multi terrain taking in the breathtaking scenery of Kilham and the surrounding Yorkshire Wolds

A challenging, yet stunning, multi terrain 10k centred around the Yorkshire Wolds village of Kilham. Setting off through the village itself, with ample opportunities for spectator viewing. Runners will then head off-road up the tree lined track, site of David Hockney's famous painting, The Tunnel, after which a climb to the top of hill will provide breath-taking views of the Wolds. The route then continues across Sheep Rake Lane before turning through a developing vineyard running adjacent to the road before re-joining the tarmac road for the remainder of the run back down into the village, finishing at the Playing Field. Depending on the weather it could be wet and muddy in places. Organised by Kilham Playing Field Association and fully marshalled throughout the course with a drinks station at the 5km point. The race is open to runners aged 15 years or older in line with UKA regulations. Race License Pending All finishers will receive goodie bag including Flapjack sponsored by Lilly's Plumbing & Heating and £5 voucher for the Old Star sponsored by The Old Star. Entrants can choose between receiving a bespoke race momento or sponsoring the planting of a tree on the playing field this Winter. The overall race winners presentation will begin at 11am. Prizes are available for Male/Female 1st 2nd 3rd overall and Male/Female 1st in age categories. Prizes will be awarded on chip time to the fastest three men and women to finish and to age category group winners. The race will be chip timed and results will be published online. In line with UKA Rules of Competition, the wearing of headphones or similar devices is not permitted. There will be a cut off time of 1.5 hours. If you are running slower than this predicted finish time at the half way point, you may be asked to pull out.

The Race HQ and finish line is on the playing field itself, where there is a children's play area including play equipment, pump bike track and willow den maze area, as well as a multi sports court and adult gym equipment. There will be refreshment provision and some seating is available. Car parking will be on the field. In adverse ground conditions car parking may be diverted to an alternative location closeby.

Transfers (at no charge) will only be permitted if requested prior to 26th September. Withdrawals after 26th September will be subject to a 50% fee to cover administration costs. Risk Assessment - A full course risk assessment will be on display at the event HQ on race day together with maps of the route, the race license, in accordance with UKA rules. Use of headphones is not allowed There will also be a 1km family fun run at 11.45am with entries available from 10.45am on the day. Thank you for supporting the Kilham Playing Field Association
