1.5 mile FUN RUN
1.5 mile flat Fun Run, for any age, very well marshalled, the course is a 1 lap along the towpath over 2 bridges, there will be medals, water and chocolate for all runners. Within the race there is School Competition, the first 2 boys and first 2 girls count towards the winning shield. Please let us know your school. Can anyone beat last years winners Oulton Primary School. The shield will be awarded once the 5k is on its way. The course is well marshaled from Rothwell Harriers running club. Race has been established for nearly 20 years. Money raised from the event goes the the Jane Tomlinson Appeal. Prizes for all age categories, for individual races and the series. Don't forget the raffle, BBQ and CAKE competition after the 5k race back at the Commercial Pub beer garden

The Methley canal race series is organised by Rothwell Harriers to raise money for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal. 5 min walk to race start from the race HQ Commercial Pub, Main Street, Methley. all prizes will be awarded when the 5k race sets off. 1,2,3 male and female and the school shield competition Medals for everyone and chocolate. Last race there will be a BBQ, Raffle and Cake competition after the race. Parking around the village, please park sensible and do not block drive ways.
