A fun summer's evening fell race for all abilities on the beautiful Otley Chevin forest park
Organised by Skyrac AC and sponsored by the Yorkshire Runner running shop, the Otley Chevin Fell Race returns for its 45th year. The 2.9 mile route up Otley Chevin includes 900ft of climbing over a mixture of terrain from tarmac path to rocky trails, steps, mud tracks and grass. Race start and finish is outside the car park next to Greenholme Mills carpets on Station Road, Otley LS21 3HX (free car parking is available at the large Sainsbury's supermarket, 2 minutes walk away). ONLINE ENTRY IS NOW CLOSED BUT ENTRY ON THE DAY WILL BE AVAILABLE (PLENTY OF SPACES) FOR £10 - SIGN UP AT OUR REGISTRATION DESK AT THE YORKSHIRE RUNNER SHOP ON BONDGATE IN OTLEY (LS21 1AD) FROM 6PM. The race starts and finishes at race headquarters on Station Road in Otley. Online entrants should collect their race number from the race HQ here from 6pm. The race is licensed by the Fell Runners Association and is classed as a category CS (C-short) fell race.

There are no water stations on the course but there will be water at the finish. There are no changing facilities or toilets (there are toilets in Sainsbury's or nearby pubs). Bags etc can be left at Race HQ on Station Road by the start/finish line but at your own risk as it will not be manned.
Prizes for first 3 men and women, plus generous M/F age category prizes - V40, V50, V60, V70 - and first local (must live at an LS21 postcode). Prize giving after the race in the Stables Yard of the Black Horse pub in Otley (LS21 3AS) from about 8.30pm after all runners have finished and results are sorted. Come and join us for a drink and some free pizza. Spot prize for anyone who fancies themselves to beat the course records - it's been 22 years that Ian Holmes' record has stood! Can anyone go faster?
