Back with a new course for 2016!

The John Carr Series consists of three 5K races held on Wednesdays during May (4th, 11th and 18th in 2016) in memory of a former member of the club who tragically died aged 30. This year, the race will start at the Apperley Bridge end of Yorkshire Water's land. The course is still a fast, flat, out and back 5k over Yorkshire Water land, which will now include a wider start and a slight downhill finish. We've had the course professionally re-measured this year, so it's exactly 5k and ready for runners to clock PBs. Chip timed for the first time. Numbers and chips will be distributed on the night. Parking is limited. Please car share or get the train to the start at Apperley Bridge.

Prizes for first man, first woman, first male veteran, first female veteran, first male junior and first female junior at each race plus prizes in all age categories for the series. Total time taken to complete all three races to decide prizes. Bar of chocolate to all finishers! Enter all three in advance and you'll also get a free bottle of Saltaire beer after the third race (unless you're under 18, in which case your prize will be non-alcoholic).
