Note - we have a massed start. Covid Guidance Notes will be e-mailed Mask Wearing is entirely optional on the start line. The event will respect the runners personal attitude to social distancing. From your arrival to finishing you’ll find we are blessed with plenty of space in which to operate. - - This year In Support of ‘The Bone Cancer Research Trust’ A friendly, club organised event, 2021 will be our 16th year we are well-supported by the local community and running clubs. As we come out of Lockdown there’s a warm welcome in store and you can look forward to a fast, flat scenic route among 814 fellow runners. The race is Gold-Graded by the British Association of Road Race and was the BARR National WInner of the Bill Reynolds Memorial Trophy 2014. The Wetherby Mini-Marathon (entry on the day only - 1.6 miles, no min age ) is held alongside the 10K. There’s lots of space and easy free parking at Wetherby Racecourse. Therefore it’s hassle free getting to and from Wetherby 10k. There’s time to relax with an ice cream or bring a picnic to enjoy the race atmosphere in the lovely surroundings. Celebrate 'A Cracking little Yorkshire run' with the commemorative mug for all finishers.

Large car park with easy entrance & exit. Wetherby Mini Marathon with no lower age limit. Hot & Cold Refreshments all day, Bouncy Castle & Ice Creams. Supporting local Leeds based Charity -The Bone Cancer Research Trust.
The race pack (booklet) was be posted out in August 2021 ) . Chip timed race numbers are to be collected on the day. There will be a race number transfer service. This will cease four days before race day. Chipped race numbers collected on the day from 11:15am to 1:30pm. The actual 2020 race - Did not proceed due to Covid 19 race places were deferred until the 2021 race. (prior entrants were offered a refund (since June 2020 until 24/08/20 and entry automatically was carried over.) Big mug is included for all finishers - Under no circumstances are the use of earphones, MP3s and the like permitted during the race. Any participants using these will be disqualified immediately. Race fees are non refundable. Entrants should read ‘Small Print’ section on Wetherby Runners event page of the club website for other T&C’s. For upper age categories. The organisers reserve the right to not award prizes should, in their opinion, the field (number of competitors) in that class be deemed too small. ——- Virtual Event. Run from your home on 5th Sept. If you declare your finish time by Strava/Garmin snapshot image to Wetherby10k@btinternet.com between 5th & 9th Sept you will be posted a finishers mug. .
