Muddy Boots 10k and Fun Run
An undulating multi-terrain course of approx. 10k through picturesque countryside, including road, footpaths and trails
Muddy Boots is a sell out, chip timed event which is a well-established feature of the local running calendar with over 500 entries sold each year. The race covers an approximate distance of 10 kilometres which starts and finishes at St Wilfrid's Catholic Primary School, Ripon. It is a multi-terrain course over undulating farmland and through picturesque countryside incorporating a mixture of road, footpaths and trails. Entrants and their supporters can enjoy a variety of refreshments, including our hugely popular homemade cakes, at Race HQ before, during and after the race. The Muddy Boots Fun Run takes place prior to the 10k and is an approximate 1 kilometre course across the school and adjoining Ripon Grammar school fields. All ages welcome. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. All Fun Run finishers will receive a medal. Fun Run entry is available on the day (before 9.30am) at a cost of £4 per entry. The event is organised by the St Wilfrid's Association (SWA/PTA. Registered Charity No: 1057684) with all monies raised being used to offer children who attend the school a full range of activities, including extra-curricular opportunities, and helps towards improvements and refurbishments to the school.
