The perfect start to a summer weekend!

The St Aidan's 'Reverse' 10K is the best way to start your weekend. Held on a Friday evening in July, this variation on our popular 10K trail race is a perfect introduction to off-road running and an ideal race to test your speed. The race is a fast and (mostly) flat trail race along public footpaths and bridleways in the idyllic setting of RSPB St Aidan's Country Park to the east of Leeds. Starting by the RSPB St Aidan's Little Owl Cafe (alongside the largest preserved walking dragline excavator in Western Europe, known as "Oddball"), the route takes in most of the Country Park before finishing back at the Visitor Centre. Why not stop for a drink, bring along a picnic and get the weekend started in this idyllic setting on a summer's evening? Our races at RSPB St Aidan's are limited to 300 runners due to the limited amount of parking available on site, and because of environmental considerations. As demand for our usual 10K race is always high, we have added this 'Reverse' run of the route on the Friday evening following the 10K race (which will take place on July 18th). You are welcome to sign up for one or both races: if you sign up for both, there is a discounted price, but please keep your race number after the 10K race on July 18th and use it again for the 'Reverse' 10K race.
