The course takes in rural closed roads and a scenic route around Eccup reservoir making this Leeds most popular 10 mile road race and a sell out most years. Abbey Runners will be making a donation to both Hollybank Trust and the clubs nominated 2023 charity Zarach (deliver beds and basics to children in poverty in Leeds) from the race proceeds and you can also support either or both by making an additional donation with your entry. When you enter, you can also choose whether to receive a T-Shirt memento or have a tree planted on your behalf instead. Last year we raised over £700 to plant trees around Leeds in our first year of offering this option. We have a generous prize policy, with prizes for both men and women for the first 3 overall, V35 and V40. The first two V45,V50 and V55, and the first V60, V65, V70 and V75 ect. We also have a team prize (first 3 club members) for both male and female teams. We are also pleased to announce that we will have a number of spot prizes this year to celebrate our 30th anniversary. These will be given out at random throughout the day. If your not entered yet then enter now for a chance at winning a prize. These have been kindly donated by Saltaire brewery, Yonda, PECO Ltd, The Grammar School at Leeds and Up & Running who have also offered a generous 15% discount in store to Eccup runners who take in their race number.
