Olympic distance triathlon

This will be the 11th year of this race which is gaining in popularity each year. The course starts with a 1500m swim in the river up and down stream. The flow is normally only strong enough to make a 1 to 2 minute difference to the upstream and downstream legs. The swim start may be split into two waves if entry numbers are over 200. The out and back bike is mainly on the fast and quiet A168 to Boroughbridge. The run is on the traffic free sustrans cycleway between Wetherby and Spofforth.
