The return of the Skipton Tri - start the season in style!

EVENT POSTPONED Following the recent spell of very wet weather, we have carried out an inspection of the grassed area in Aireville Park where the event transition would be located. Unfortunately, the whole area is extremely waterlogged and, given the weather forecast, it is very unlikely to dry out to any appreciable extent before next Sunday. In our opinion, the whole area would quickly turn into a mud bath, and would result in a poor race experience for all concerned. Therefore, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone both the Skipton Triathlon and Junior Triathlon to a later date. We hope to be able to confirm the rearranged date within the next few days. After a successful return in 2023, this year's Skipton Triathlon will be even bigger and better! A great event for first timers and more competitive triathletes. It consists of a pool swim (400m), a picturesque bike route (22km) and an undulating run (5km) around Aireville Park. Prizes will be awarded to male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd, plus 1st male and female vets 40+, 50+ and 60+ Minimum age to enter is 17 years old by 31/12/2024. PLEASE NOTE: The entry form asks which race category you are entering: Female category or Open category. BTF rules state that only people who are female sex at birth are eligible to compete in the Female category. All other individuals including transgender people are eligible to compete in the Open category. This question is required under the British Triathlon Transgender Policy effective 1 January 2023.
