The Vale of York Half Marathon, the fast, flat, PB-loving half marathon in aid of Sue Ryder will be back for its 10th year in 2024. And we've kept the flat-as-a-pancake 10K as part of the event. Both races start and finish just outside Wistow, and run on scenic closed roads south of York and north of Selby. For the novice runner the half is still the perfect introduction to a longer distance. For the more seasoned racer it remains a genuine PB opportunity. And for those training for an autumn marathon it fits perfectly into your training schedule. For everyone the 10K is a perfect opportunity to finish the season with a PB! PLEASE NOTE THE 10K START TIME IS SCHEDULED FOR 10:15AM, BUT IS DEPENDENT ON ALL HALF MARATHON RUNNERS HAVING COMPLETED THEIR FIRST 3 MILES. To address the environmental impact of our races, we are asking you to choose whether you wish to buy a finisher's technical t-shirt and to opt in or out of the finisher's medal. If you opt out of the finisher's medal we'll donate £2 to our charity partner Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice. PLEASE NOTE THAT, AS OF 21/8/24, THE OPTION TO BUY A RACE T-SHIRT HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN: THE ORDER FOR RACE T-SHIRTS HAS NOW BEEN PLACED AND CANNOT BE AMENDED.

When all places are sold or if it is less than 4 weeks to race day, your race entry fee will not be refundable in any circumstances. If, however, the race is cancelled due to COVID-19 related issues, your place will automatically be transferred to a new rescheduled date. While places are still available and it is more than 4 weeks until race day, you may apply in writing for a refund, which will be subject to a refund processing charge of £3. By entering this race, you agree to these terms and conditions.

There will be no permitted race place transfers after Sunday 25th August 2024. Anyone found to be running in someone else's name, will be disqualified and their details will be passed to UK Athletics.
