31 Mile Ultra, the One in the Middle (17.5miles) and the Short n Sweet (8.5miles)
Not just for princesses, the Hardmoors Princess 30(ish) is a circular route taking in Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Ravenscar and Cloughton (the original Hardmoors 30 New Years’ Day, available at www.hardmoors110.org.uk). It follows the Cleveland Way south between Ravenscar and Hayburn Wyke, before heading north along the Old Railway lines through Ravenscar, Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby and then back on the Cleveland Way southwards through Robin Hoods Bay to the finish at Ravenscar. The Short n Sweet Challenge 8.5miles (ish!) goes out along the Cinder Track from Ravenscar to the scenic Robin Hoods Bay then returns to Ravenscar on the Cleveland Way! A challenge with less of the ultra distance to it! The full route will be confirmed on the Hardmoors website. Once again this yearsHardmoors Princess Challenge includes - the One in the Middle (17.5 miles) This route takes you south like the ultra but you don’t have the 199 steps to do at Whitby!

As a reward for taking part there will be a race memento to each finisher, well stocked checkpoints, lots of laughs and fun. Great friendly marshals! Stunning scenery! Finishers party with cake, chips and goodies! Bring and share is encouraged-Princess Challenge Runners love cake. You are more than welcome to stay after the event to enjoy it! Bring and share helps us raise more money for the team, so it is very much appreciated.
This is a fundraising event for the Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue team; last year it raised in excess of £3,500! That is just under £10,000 for the team over 4 years. The search and rescue team need to raise a minimum of £40,000 to keep operational, it would be great if the Challenges this year could make them at least £4,000. As always there is the option to get your best fancy dress out to take on the challenge in your best Princess outfit-there will be a prize in each race distance for the Best Dressed Princess :) (This is open to our male competitiors too)
