31 Mile Ultra, the One in the Middle (17.5 miles) and the Short 'n' Sweet (8.5 miles)
Sadly for 2020 the Covid19 pandemic means that a phsyical Princess Challenge isn't a safe option, so for this year we are going Virtual! Just as Rapanzel was locked in her tower we have been locked at home, however now is your chance to don your tutu, tiara or ballgowns (yes guys I am looking at you) and get your trainers on. Pick a safe, local to home, socially distanced route, or head to the treadmill, and complete your distance. You have the option of the Short n Sweet at 8.5miles, the One in the Middle at 17.5 miles or the Ultra at 31 miles (bonus points if you manage to replicate the 199 steps at Whitby). You can take on the challenge as a whole distance or as a cumulative challenge as part of your regular training. When you have done, send me your evidence and I will then send out your medal and goodies! If an adult in your household is signed up then for this year your under 16 can also sign up alongside you at a reduced rate. They can choose their own distance or pick one of the above. If they attempt to do the longer distances I suggest they do it as a cumulative challenge for safety. Dressing up is once again encouraged and your photos can be uploaded in our new Facebook group or email them in. I will ensure there is a prize for the best dressed Princess once again! There will also be a best dressed Family group prize and best under 16! Princess has always encouraged a bring and share attitude, and although my Dad won't be in the kitchen to supply you chip butties or freshly baked rock buns, it would be great if instead of bringing cake if you would consider making a donation to your local food bank or use the donation option on your entry. During the Covid19 pandemic the Food Banks have been vital and it would be great to support them. Once again money will be donated to Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue, the team have been badly hit during the pandemic as fundraising is stalled.
