The first Bedale Bolt, an undulating 10km race
The race starts along the high street in Bedale, our single lap course takes you out into the country lanes with a hill or two to negotiate along the way before heading back to the town centre for a fast finish along the high street being cheered on by enthusiastic supporters. The race will be held on closed roads with fabulous marshals looking after you along the way and will be chip timed. The course is being measured by England Athletics - so, who wants to set the course records? We are hoping to raise as much money to support Yorkshire Air Ambulance, our chosen charity for the first Bedale Bolt. YAA is an independent charity and is a vital support service for our local area. A donation will be made for each race entry. We are offering t-shirts as part of the entrance fees, and to mark the first event, we have teamed up with Bedale High School to create a winning design. Please select your size on entry. If you choose "no t-shirt" we will make an additional donation to our chosen charity. There will be medals for all finishers and prizes for the overall winners of men and women along with age category prizes.
