Whitehaven Harbour 5K

Welcome to the entry page for the 2023 Whitehaven Harbourside 5k Event Information The race starts at 7:00pm on Tuesday 18th July 2023. Location is Whitehaven Harbourside. Race starts on the harbour front near Tesco. Facilities Parking is available in Whitehaven. Toilets are available in the registration area. Race numbers will be issued at race registration. Entries on the day will be available subject to maximum entry of 200 runners. Registration 5:45pm – 6:45pm Registration will take place at the Harbour Youth Project (5 minutes from the start). Registration is at the Harbour Youth Project (under the multi-car park). Prize giving will take place here and light refreshments will be available. Prices UKA Members £6.00, Non UKA Members £8.00 Entries on the day: UKA Members £9.00, Non UKA Members £11.00 Course The route is an out and back course. It starts on the Harbour-side and continues along the Harbour towards the Beacon and Haig Pit, before turning and coming back the same way. The course climbs up the candlestick area where there are a number of low walls and part of the ground on this section is gravel. Besides from the one climb the course is flat and fast. This is an officially measured and certified course by the Association of UK Course Measurers. Safety briefing The race briefing will take place at 6:55pm, prior to the start of the race. 1st aid provision will be provided by Steve Wilson Prizes Medals to all finishers. 1st, 2nd & 3rd Male & Female. Age Groups – Veteran male and female prizes in 5 year categories from age 35. Male and female junior prize (11-17 age group) Withdrawals Policy Withdrawals and number swaps will be allowed up until 12 July 2023. Refunds will be subject to a charge to cover costs of processing the entry and refund. After this date no refunds or change of runner will be given.
