Registration: 9:30am – 10:45am in the Sports Centre area around the back of the school. Race numbers & race day information: Race numbers will be issued at race registration. Facilities Parking is available at the school. Toilets and showers available in the school’s sports centre. All competitors are invited to post race refreshments provided by club members. Course The route starts down the road from the school and finishes in the lay-by near the school entrance. The course is an anticlockwise single lap course on mainly undulating country roads going through Dearham, Bulgill and Crosby on the West Cumbrian coast. The course will be well signed and marshalled. There will be a drinks station at around 5 miles and drinks will be available at the finish. The roads remain open to traffic so runners need to follow the race director’s instructions and listen to the marshals around the course. This is an officially measured and certified accurate course by the Association of UK Course Measurers. Race safety briefing The race briefing will take place at 10:55am, prior to the start of the race. 1st aid provision will be provided by Steve Wilson, 1st Aid Associates. There will be a lead bike or car and a sweeper runner. Prize Presentation Prizes will be presented during the buffet and once runners have finished the race. If you are unable to stay please arrange for someone to collect your prize for you. 1st, 2nd & 3rd Male & Female. Age Groups – Veteran male and female prizes in 5 year categories from age 35. 1st Male and female junior prize (17-20 age group) All finishers will receive a race memento. Withdrawals Policy Withdrawals and number swaps will be allowed up until 20 February 2024. Refunds will be subject to a £2 charge to cover costs of processing the entry and refund.
