Get together with your running buddies in teams of 2, 3 or 4 to tackle the Big Flat Runway Marathon Relay!

The three of us at EvenSplits (Mark, Lynn and Martin) have decided to donate all the profits from the Big Flat Runway Races to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal (https://www.dec.org.uk/appeal/ukraine-humanitarian-appeal) and the DEC Afghanistan Crisis Appeal (https://www.dec.org.uk/appeal/afghanistan-crisis-appeal). We will take no income from the event; all the profit will go to the two appeals. At the same time we will try to minimise all expenditure across the event. RaceBest has waived all transaction fees on race entry and we will be asking all our other suppliers to review their charges where they can. With this in mind, we are not ordering new bespoke t-shirts for entrants. Instead we are going to save the money it would have cost and donate that to the appeals. However, we will be giving away our remaining stock of RaceBest 2020 and EvenSplits 2021 technical t-shirts at the finish line, if you would still like a technical t-shirt. We will still provide a commemorative finisher’s medal too. Join the Festival of Running that is the Big Flat Runway Races at Elvington with the Marathon Relay. Enter a team of in a team of 2, 3 or 4, men or women or a mix. Your team must cover 10 laps of the 4.1k circuit at Elvington Airfield (plus the extra 0.1k) as quickly as you can. That’s basically it! The only rule is that each member of the team must cover a minimum of 2 laps and that anyone aged under 18 can not run more than 2 laps. There will be a Runners' Village alongside the course, where you can set up tents, club gazebos and flags and feed tables. Toilets and water will also be available in this area.
