A multi-terrain race set in the beautiful Crimple Valley area of the famous spa town of Harrogate
The Run Harrogate 10k is a multi-terrain race set in the beautiful Crimple Valley area of the famous spa town of Harrogate. It follows an undulating route that is approximately 70% tarmac road, with the rest on good footpaths. The course has been specifically designed to be suitable for all levels of runner: it will appeal to those contemplating their first race, but also to seasoned club runners who are looking for a challenge. NOTE: Online entries close at 11am on Saturday 2nd July. Entries on the day will be allowed subject to a £2 premium This year we are adding a kids Fun Run, for school years 2-9, before the main race. All participants will receive a 'goody bag', including a participation medal. This will be entry on the day (£3.00; entries open from 08:00), places are limited to 150. The course is a traffic-free loop. Those in Years 2-5 will run one lap (total distance approximately 1.3 km) and those in Years 6-9 will run two laps (approximately 2.5 km). You are welcome to run round with your child (but you won't get a medal - sorry!). The older group will set off at 09:00 and the younger group at 09:05. All proceeds from the Fun Run will be donated to the charity CALM, Campaign Against Living Miserably. Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd ladies and men, plus first in each age groups and Ladies' and Men's Team prizes (first 3 count for each team). There will also be Berwins Corporate Team Prize which will allow the winning team to make a £300 donation to a charity of their choice. All finishers will receive a 'goody bag', including a unique commemorative medal.
All entries are non refundable, however transfers will be accepted up until 27 June 2022 (contact events@harrogate-harriers.co.uk with your name and DOB, plus full registration details for the person you want to transfer of your entry to). In line with UKA Rules of Competition, the wearing of headphones (including the bone-conduction type) or similar devices is not permitted. A cut-off time off 1 hour 45 minutes will be in place for the race: if you are running slower than this predicted finish time at the half way point, you may be asked to pull out.
